Walk or Run 5K to Support Local Families in Need
Join us on September 12, 2026. We will begin registration at 9:15am and the race will start at 10:00am at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Park in Mechanicsburg.
Lace up, show up, and help local children with the essentials. If you’d like to run in our 5K, we have prizes for the first 3 to cross the finish line! For those who would like to walk, there will be a 2 mile walk that is kid and stroller friendly. We hope you’ll join us!
The Walk for Families is the annual fundraiser for Tiny Tykes Essentials. Every dollar raised goes directly toward providing cribs, car seats, diapers, clothing, and other essentials for families in need across Central Pennsylvania. Whether you walk solo or rally a crew, your steps make a real difference in the lives of real families right here in our community.
Step One: Register
Please register for the Walk using the link below. Your registration ensures that we will have a t-shirt for you (and your family) on September 12, 2026. Be sure to let us know your sizes.
Step Two: Fundraise
Once you’ve registered for the Walk you can create a fundraising team or join one! When you create your own fundraising page you can customize it with your picture and share it with friends and family.
How It Works
Registration is completely free. Just click the link below to sign up. You can join as an individual walker or create a team and invite friends, family, or coworkers to fundraise together. Teams are a great way to get your workplace, church group, or neighborhood involved—and a little friendly competition makes the fundraising even more fun. Every participant will have their own fundraising page to share and collect donations.
Walk It or Run It
This event is for everyone. Walk the route at your own pace, push a stroller, or bring the whole family. If you’re feeling competitive, lace up and run! Prizes will be awarded to the top three 5K race finishers.
Earn Raffle Tickets
For every $25 you raise, you’ll receive one raffle ticket for a chance to win fun prizes on walk day. The more you raise, the more chances you have to win!
Free T-Shirts
Everyone who registers before August 20th will receive a free Walk for Families t-shirt. Don’t wait—sign up early and wear your support on walk day.
Food and Fun
Stick around after the Walk! There will be food available for purchase, games for the kids, and we’ll announce the raffle winners. Be sure to stick around to celebrate with your team and the community you’re helping to support.
